The proximity of the industrial operations to aquatic ecosystems creates many environmental challenges for each site.

Glynn Environmental Coalition

Brunswick, GA

Three Superfund Sites located in Brunswick Georgia recently received a Technical Assistance Grant from the EPA, the Brunswick Wood Preserving Site, the LCP Chemicals Superfund Site, and the Terry Creek Spoil Area/Hercules Outfall Site. Although the sites are close in proximity, each site suffers from a unique set of conditions and contaminants.

Environmental Stewardship Concepts is serving as the Technical Assistant under the EPA TAG for the Glynn Environmental Coalition at the Brunswick Wood Preserving Site, the LCP Chemicals Superfund Site, and the Terry Creek Dredge Spoil Site. For the next 5 years we will work with GEC and the community to make sure that the appropriate cleanup actions and other activities are being conducted in the best interest of the community. This includes but is not limited to, analyzing data, attending and presenting at community meetings, reviewing documents, and preparing reports.
